CAIRO - 8 June 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to meet the Egyptian national team on Saturday before they head to Russia to participate in the 2018 World Cup.

Egyptian national team’s delegation arrived home on Thursday after playing a friendly match against Belgium as part of their preparation for the World Cup.

Egyptian Football Association (EFA) member, Karam Kurdy, confiimed that President Sisi will meet the players, the coaching staff and EFA members, headed by Hany Abo Reida, at 11:00 a.m. (CLT) in the presidential palace.

All the players are resting until Saturday, as they will have their last training session at 10:00 p.m. before travelling to Russia on Sunday morning.

Egypt plays in Group A alongside the South American giant, Uruguay; Arab rival, Saudi Arabia; and, the host, Russia.

Egypt starts their journey against Uruguay on June 15 at 2:00 p.m. The Pharaohs will then meet Russia on June 19 at 8:00 p.m. before ending the group stage against Saudi Arabia on June 25 at 4:00.
