CAIRO – 7 June 2018: Egypt lost to Belgium 3-0 during their last friendly game before heading to Russia to participate at the 2018 World Cup.

Thousands of Egyptian fans attended the game at Stade Roi Baudouin in Brussels to support the national team before the World Cup.

Egypt national team manager, Hector Cuper, had the last chance to test the players before choosing the starting line-up for the World Cup.

Egypt started the game with Essam el Hadary, Mohamed Abdel Shafy, Ahmed Fathi, Ali Gabr Ahmed Hegazi, Tarek Hamed, Mohamed el Neny, Abdullah el Said, Amr Warda, Ramadan Sobhi and Marwan Mohsen.

Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku, opened the score for the hosts after 27 minutes when he followed a ball saved by Egypt's goalkeeper, Essam el Hadary.



Eden Hazard doubled the score for Belgium before the half time by a shot from inside the box after a great pass from Yannick Carrasco.



Marouane Fellaini scored the third goal seconds before the final whistle after a pass from Michy Batshuayi.



Despite the loss, Egypt played a good game and they created many chances to score but the Belgian defense foiled all the Egyptian attempts.
