CAIRO – 2 June 2018: Bayern Munich joined the race for signing Lyon’s midfielder, Nabil Fekir, in the summer transfer market, according to the French newspaper L’Equipe.

The French newspaper claimed that the talented midfielder is a suitable choice for the European giants, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool was close to signing Fekir for a £50 million before the player denied any contacts between him and the club.

The 24-year-old joined Lyon in 2011 and his contract extends to 2020. Fekir featured in 40 matches this season; scoring 23 goals and provided 8 assists.

Fekir’s agent affirms that the doors are open to his exit; he has assured that in no case will he and Fekir cause a forced march or any kind of confrontation with Lyon.

"We have to make a decision; we will sit down with Lyon’s president and find the right solution. First of all, [out of] respect [to] Lyon, we will not go for a confrontation with the biggest French club," the agent explained.
