CAIRO – 29 May 2018: Liverpool’s medical staff believes that Salah will have to face three or four weeks of absence, which threatens his participation in the very important game against Uruguay , Egypt’s first game at the World Cup, scheduled for June 14 in Russia, according to The Independent.

The entire world has been praying for Salah after he was seen in tears after being fiercely tackled by Real Madrid’s defender Sergio Ramos. The injury forced Salah to leave in the 31st minute of the game. Liverpool lost the Champions League final on Saturday to Real Madrid with a 3-1 defeat.

After the Champions League final, the Egyptian national team's medical staff contacted Liverpool’s medical staff which said that Salah underwent an X-ray showing that he suffered from a shock in the shoulder joints. The Egyptian national team’s doctor expressed his optimism that Salah will be in the World Cup as he may be out for only two or three weeks, which has been assured by Egypt’s FA on Sunday.

Egypt will start the World Cup journey on June 14 against Uruguay before facing the hosts, Russia, on June 19. The Pharaohs will meet the Arab rivals, Saudi Arabia, in the last match of ‘Group A’ on June 25.
