CAIRO – 29 May 2018: Liverpool announced on Monday night that they have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign their Brazilian midfielder, Fábio Henrique, commonly known as Fabinho, for $58 million.

The Brazilian signed a four-year contract with the club on Monday after completing a medical.

“I am really excited about this move. This is something that I always wanted; this is a giant of a team,” Fabinho told Liverpool website after signing his contract.

Fabinho’s career with football started with Fluminense in Brazil when he joined the club as a young kid and left when he was 18 to join Portugal’s Rio Ave.

He joined Real Madrid's second team on a loan where he spent two years before his decision to join Monaco in 2013.

“I arrived at Monaco as an unknown player and during the past five years I was able to grow a lot as a football player. The work that I developed there was very good,” Fabinho commented on his move to Monaco.

The Brazilian established himself as one of the key players at the club especially in 2017 when the club won the domestic league and reached the Champions League semis.

Fabinho, 24, has grabbed the European clubs’ attention after his amazing performance with Monaco in the last two years.
