CAIRO – 27 May 2018: Tarek Sallam, Egypt’s ambassador in Uganda, was keen to support the Egyptian volleyball youth team (men & women) in their participation in the Fifth district competition which qualifies to the African Youth Games (Olympics).

The Egyptian ambassador attended the final game in the women competition between Egypt and Kenya in the Kampala’s main hall, alongside the embassy’s delegation that included Vice Ambassador Haitham Mokhtar and Media Adviser Ahmed el Tenekhy.

Egypt succeeded to qualify to the African Youth Games after beating Kenya 3-0 in the final game.

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Volleyball Youth team (men) qualified to the African Youth Games after beating Uganda and Kenya 3-0 each.

The third edition of the African Youth Games for Gymnastics will run between July 17 and 27, 2018; this international multi-sport event, held every four years, will take place in Algiers, Algeria this year.
