CAIRO – 27 May 2018: The General Consul in Milan, Italy, Ihab Abo Sereea, received the Egyptian national team’s delegation headed by Hany Abo Reida, Egyptian Football Association president.

The delegation arrived on Saturday, May 26, as they are set to face Colombia on Friday, June 1, at Bergamo City in North Italy, in preparations for the 2018 World Cup held in Russia next June.

The General Consul, Abo Sereea, declared that the Egyptian camp started on May 26 and will end on June 5.

Abo Sereea contacted the Italian authorities in North Italy to facilitate the Egyptian national team’s stay there.

The Egyptian national team was hospitably received by the Egyptian community in Italy.
Egypt faced Kuwait in a friendly match on May 25 at Gaber Al-Ahmed stadium, which ended with a 1-1 draw.

Egypt qualified to the World Cup in Russia, ending 28 years of absence, as the national team last played in the World Cup in 1990 in Italy.

Egypt plays in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and the host nation, Russia.
