CAIRO – 27 May 2018: Egyptian Liverpool’s forward, Mohamed Salah, assured his fans that he will be part of Egypt’s football squad which will join the World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia.

Salah told his family in a phone call early Sunday that his recovery from the injury he suffered during Saturday's Champions League final will not last more than 3 weeks.

Liverpool’s forward expressed his gratitude for the Egyptian people who stood by his side during the critical moments.

Salah said that the preliminary medical checks showed that he does not suffer from a shoulder dislocation or any other serious injuries that will prevent him from joining the world cup on June 14.

The Egyptian forward suffered an injury in the 31st minute after a fierce tackle from Real Madrid’s defender Sergio Ramos. Liverpool lost the Champions league final in Saturday for Real Madrid after a 3-1 defeat.
