CAIRO – 24May 2018:Egypt’s coach, Hector Cuper, had a press conference prior to the national team's match against Kuwait at Gaber Al Ahmad stadium in Kuwait,in preparations for the 2018 World Cup.

“We don’t need a Psychiatrist before the World Cup; everything is OK,” Cuper assured.

“The players’ psychological side is very important especially that we have amazing talents; we can win if we have confidence in ourselves,” Cuper added.

“I agree that perhaps the style of play does not please everyone, but we needed it in order to qualify and achieve good results in the past three years,” Cuper explained.

Cuper pointed out that the aim of these three friendly matches is to settle on the 23-player squad that will play in the World Cup.

Egypt will face Kuwait on May 26, Colombia on June 1 and Belgium on June 6.

“We will play against three different teams with different tactical schools in football. I think that we will benefit from facing them; and that’s why we chose 29 players in our squad,” Cuper concluded.
