CAIRO – 18 May 2018: Al Masry clash against Al Hilal in Omdurman, Sudan on Wednesday night ended with a 1-1 draw.
Al Masry opened the score after 10 minutes by Islam Essa'sheader after a wonderful pass from Mohamed Shatta.

The good news continued for Al Masry when Al Hilal's defender, El-Tahir El-Haj Hassan, was sent off after a dangerous tackle against Al Masry’sFaridShawky.

Al Masry had many chances to double the score before half time but Al Hilal defense blocked all their attempts to end the first half 1-0.

At the second half, Al Hilal dominated the game; they won a penalty 10 minutes before the final whistle when Al Masry defender, Mohammed Koffi, stopped the ball with his hands inside the area and GeovaneMaranhão converted it to make the score 1-1.


Al Masry lost the chance to achieve the first Egyptian victory in Sudan since 2010 when Ismaily defeated Al Hilal 1-0 at CAF Champions League.

Al Masry are in the second position with four points.
