CAIRO - 18 May 2018: Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, received amazing news on Wednesday when England manager, Gareth Southgate, named him at the English squad for the World Cup in Russia.

“It was an unbelievable moment to find out I was going to go to the World Cup, especially at a young age. It’s probably capped off a really good season for me,” Arnold told Liverpool official website on Thursday.
Arnold has represented the English national team since he was 15 but he never wore the first team jersey in any game; he only trained with the first team last march, ahead of their friendly matches against Italy and the Netherlands.

“I’m honored, excited and feeling really proud,” added Arnold.

Arnold, born in Liverpool in 1998, joined the club academy when he was six and he got promoted through the club rankings till he joined the first team in 2016.

The defender established himself as Liverpool starting right back and he played a great role in the team successes this season.
