CAIRO – 17 May 2018: Egyptian Football Federation sponsor Presentation has had many offers to host the Egyptian Super Cup this year, according to Presentation CEO Mohamed Kamel.

“We have many offers from Arab and European countries to host the Super Cup; however, Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait is so close to hosting the game after three years of playing the game in UAE,” Kamel told press on Wednesday.

The last three Egyptian Super Cup games were played in UAE. Al-Ahly defeated Zamalek 3-2 in the first one, while Zamalek won the second after defeating Al-Ahly in a penalty shootout.

Al-Ahly returned to win the Cup when they went on to defeat Al-Masry 1-0.

Zamalek will feature in the Super Cup as the Egyptian Cup champions after defeating Smouha in a penalty shootout on Tuesday night to achieve their 26th Cup title.

Kamel commented on Zamalek’s victory, saying: “It was a very good game between two great teams.”

Zamalek will face their local rivals and the League champions, Al-Ahly, in the Super Cup.
