CAIRO – 10 May 2018: Former Zamalek’s coach and player, Ahmed Hossam "Mido", revealed that he is about to take over one of the Saudi clubs.

Mido, currently a pundit at ON Sport channel, was sacked from Wadi Degla at the first stage of the Egyptian league this season.

“I had several meetings with Turki Al-Sheikh [head of the General Authority for Saudi Sport] to take over one of the Saudi clubs next season. I don’t want to reveal the Saudi club’s name as it’s confidential,” Mido said to Al-Hadaf radio program.

“I prefer to work outside Egypt next season; the Saudi League is amazing and has big investments,” Mido added.

Former player of Gent, Ajax, Tottenham Hotspur, Celta Vigo and Middlesbrough, pointed out that he may include former Zamalek and current Al-Raed's player, Shikabala, in his new team’s squad.

“If I take over a Saudi club, I will include Shikabala; I had a meeting with him too,” Mido said.

Shikabala is set to return to Zamalek as his loan period ends at the end of the season.
