CAIRO – 2 May 2018: Former English international Frank Lampard revealed on Tuesday that Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is the most dangerous player in world football.

“Salah is the most dangerous player in world football at the moment, and they (Roma’s defense) will be nervous about playing him so soon,” Lampard told London Evening Standard.

Salah, 25, was the hero for Liverpool in the first leg when he led his team to a stunning 5-2 victory over the Italian team.

The Egyptian scored the first two goals and provided two assists to Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, who added the third and the fourth goals, respectively. He then left the pitch 20 minutes before the final whistle.

Asked about Salah’s impact on his team’s performance in the first leg, he said, “Mo Salah will have scared them. All of Roma’s back three were terrible last week, particularly Juan Jesus, who played on the left-hand side of Roma’s backline.”

Salah is expected to receive a warm welcome from the Italian fans, as he spent two amazing seasons with Roma, having scored 32 goals and being named the best player on the team in both seasons.

Lampard believes that the Italians have an impossible mission in the second leg after their loss in Liverpool, saying, “If they play with a high line like they did last week, they’ll be in big trouble. It is going to be so hard for them to approach a game like that knowing you can’t afford to concede.”

Roma players hope to repeat their achievement in the quarter-finals, when they returned from a 4-1 loss against Barcelona in the first leg to defeat the Catalans 3-0 in Italy. A 4-4 tie saw Roma victorious on away goals.
