CAIRO – 2 May 2018: AS Roma will host Liverpool on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League second leg at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

Salah returns to the Olympic Stadium for the first time since he left Roma last summer, and he hopes to leave the stadium with a ticket to the final.

Salah, 25, was Liverpool's hero in the first leg when he led his team to a stunning 5-2 victory over the Italian side.

The Egyptian opened the score after 30 minutes with a stunning screamer to make the score 1-0, but he refused to celebrate scoring against his former club.

Salah doubled the score seconds before the whistle when he chipped the ball over Allison to end the first half 2-0.

Salah continued his magic in the second half, providing two assists to Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, who added the third and the fourth goals respectively.

Salah is expected to receive a warm welcome from the Italian fans as he spent two amazing seasons with Roma, scoring 32 goals. He was also named the best player in the team in both seasons.

Liverpool put a foot in the finals after the first leg but they need to secure their qualification against Roma in front of their fans.

Roma players hope to repeat their achievement in the quarter-finals, when they returned from a 4-1 loss against Barcelona in the first leg to defeat the Catalans 3-0 in Italy. A 4-4 tie saw Roma victorious on away goals.
