CAIRO – 16 April 2018: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, revealed on Monday that he cares about winning the UEFA Champions League title more than any individual award.

“If I had a choice between the Champions League and the Golden Boot, then of course it would be the Champions League, no doubt the Champions League,” Salah told Liverpool’s official website.

Salah, 25, led his team to Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2008 after defeating Premier League champions, Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate.

Salah added, “Winning the Champions League is huge for everyone. I don’t care about the rest.”

The 25-year-old is also shortlisted at the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award and he is expected to be one of the nominees for Ballon d’ Or award.

Asked about his desire to be the Premier League’s top goal scorer, Salah said: “I cannot lie, it is in my mind. But you can see in the game against Bournemouth that everyone in the team tries to pass the ball to me to help me.”
