CAIRO – 14 April 2018: The Professional Footballer’s Association has announced officially on Saturday the nominees for the Player of the Year award in England.

The nominees list included six players:

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)
David De Gea (Manchester United)
David Silva, Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne who all play for Manchester City.




International Egyptian player Mohamed Salah aspires to be the second Arabic and African player to win the Premier League Player of the year after Algerian Riyad Mahrez won it in the 2015/2016 season.




Salah is now on track as he leads the top scorers list of the PL with 29 goals, with a wide gap between him and Harry Kane who has four goals. He also led Liverpool not only in the PL but also in the Champions League, playing a big role in defeating Manchester City at the quarter-finals.

So far there are six players who announced that their votes will be for Salah for the Player of the Year: Egyptian Ahmed Hegazi (West Bromwich), Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City) and Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal), in addition to Peter Crouch (Stoke City), Danny Simpson (Leicester City) and Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City).
