CAIRO – 10 April 2017: Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's Egyptian star, continued to write his name in his club's history when he led the Reds to the Champions League semi-final by beating Manchester City 2-1 (5-1 on aggregate) on Tuesday night at Ettihad Stadium.

City took the lead in the 2nd minute through their striker Gabriel Jesus. But Salah scored another amazing goal in the 56th minute to level the score before Firmino's goal in the 77th minute, which ended Manchester City's hopes of qualifying to the Champions League's semi-final.

Liverpool looked, in the first half, as fragile as Manchester City looked at Anfield a week ago. But they managed to regain their confidence in the second half to score two goals.

Liverpool visited Manchester after they beat the citizens in the quarter-final's first leg 3-0 thanks to Salah, Chamberlain and Mane's goals.

Salah has the chance to make history for himself and his team, as Liverpool is now three steps away (two matches in the semi-final and one in the final if they qualified) from grabbing their sixth Champions League's title.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was sent off by half-time, as he shouted at the referee who disallowed City's second goal due to the offside rule.
