CAIRO – 9 April 2018: Al-Ahly reportedly loaned Ahmed el-Sheikh to Ettifaq FC; he will return to Al-Ahly at the end of the season, according to Saudi news reports.

Arriyadiyah Saudi newspaper revealed that the Saudi team Ettifaq has no intentions to negotiate with Al-Ahly to extend el-Sheikh’s loan after it ends at the end of the current season.

Ettifaq has opened negotiations with other loaned players such as the Tunisian Fakhereedine Ben Youssef and the Slovakian Filip Kiss to continue with the team for the forthcoming season. While the team refused to renew the Egyptian’s loan period, who didn’t participate a lot in the matches of the current season, despite the team’s head coach Saad Al-Shehri’s praises of el-Sheikh’s commitment in the trainings.

El-Sheikh’s relation with Ettifaq ends officially after the team’s game against al-Taawoun, the team which included on its list the Egyptian trio: Essam el-Hadary, Emad Moteab and Mostafa Fathy, among the matches of the 26th and last round of the Saudi Premier League. El-Shekih joined Ettifaq at the latest transfer window on a loan-deal from Al-Ahly.
