CAIRO – 8 April 2018: Mohamed el-Neny, Arsenal and Egyptian national team midfielder, announces that he voted for Mohamed Salah, Liverpool star, to be the Premier League (PL) Player of the Season.

El-Neny is the fifth player to announce supporting Salah for the PL player of the season, as the Egyptian West Bromwich defender Ahmed Hegazi announced his voting for Salah alongside Peter Crouch, Stoke City’s striker, Danny Simpson, Leicester City’s defender and Manchester City’s midfielder and Salah’s competitor for the title, Kevin De Bruyne.

Not only Egyptians but even Arabs and Africans are dreaming of Mohamed Salah winning the player of the season award, and becoming the second Arabic and African player to win the title after Leicester City and Algeria’s midfielder Riyad Mahrez who won the title after the 2016 Premier League season.

Mo Salah leads the Premier League top scorers’ list with 29 goals; a huge gap takes place between Salah and second-placed Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur’s striker, who has five goals.
