CAIRO – 4 April 2018: Liverpool will host a critical game against Manchester City at Anfield Stadium Wednesday night in the first leg of the Champions League’s quarter-final.

Liverpool’s Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, is expected to lead his team in a quite tough game against the Premier League leaders, Manchester City, as Liverpool fans are counting on him to give the team a positive result in the first-leg match.

Liverpool is the only team to break the undefeated PL season of Man City, after the Reds managed to overcome Manchester City in the 23rd week of the tournament with a 4-3 victory, when Salah scored a splendid 35-yard goal.

Manchester City will be announced the PL champions soon, as the team already settled the race for the title after the gap between Man City and the closest team reached 16 points.

Liverpool fans aspire for a glorious era of Liverpool in the Champions League, as the team has the most titles of any English team in the European arena with 5 titles. The Reds have faced years of absence from this stage of the Champions League, as the team didn’t reach the quarter-finals since the 2008/2009 season.

The Liverpool team is also counting on the great Pharaoh, Mo Salah, as the team posted on Twitter an encouraging photo of Salah on the official Matchday program.

The other quarter-final matches were held Tuesday between Juventus and Real Madrid, which ended with Madrid’s 3-0 victory, while Sevilla lost to Bayern Munich 2-1.

The fourth and last quarter-final game between AS Roma and Barcelona will be held Wednesday night at the same time as Liverpool’s match.
