CAIRO – 21 March 2018: Chelsea manager Antonio Conte arrived in Sharm El Sheikh on Tuesday night with his wife to spend their vacation.

Conte, 48, used the break in club matches due to the FIFA international calendar to enjoy his time after his club suffered a series of upsets in recent weeks.

Chelsea were eliminated from the Champions League competition after losing to Barcelona in the round of 16.

The first leg in London ended in a 1-1 draw. Willian opened the score for Chelsea and Lionel Messi equalized for Barcelona.

Conte and his team were victims to Messi’s magic again in the second leg, as Messi led Barcelona to defeat Chelsea 3-0, scoring two goals and providing an assist to Ousmane Dembele.

Chelsea, the Premier League title holders, are suffering this season in the league and are under threat of not being able to reach the Champions League next season.

The team is fifth in the Premier League with 56 points, four points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea needs to finish the league in the top four to secure a place in the Champions League next season.
