CAIRO – 20 March 2018: The Egyptian national team, led by Hector Cuper, held its last training session on Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium, before its journey to Switzerland for two friendly matches against Portugal and Greece.

The training session included only 11 players of the team’s squad list: Esam el-Hadary, Ahmed al-Shennawy, Mohamed Awaad, Abdullah al-Saeed, Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala”, Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, Omar Gaber, Moamen Zakaria, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Tarek Hamed and Mohamed Abdel Shafi.

The team will leave Cairo on Thursday morning to head to Zurich for the friendly matches against Portugal and Greece, which are the first two matches for the Pharaohs in preparation for the World Cup.

In addition to the Al-Ahly players included on Cuper’s squad list, Enppi’s Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” will join the national team on Monday, March 26, while the rest of the international players will join the Pharaohs in Switzerland.
