CAIRO – 19 March 2018: Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson praised his Egyptian teammate Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian’s contribution in Liverpool’s 5-0 victory over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

“Mo this season has been unbelievable; absolutely unbelievable. He is doing it every week, without fail. He’s a great lad in the dressing room and to have around the place. He is a big plus to have in the team,” Henderson told the club’s official website on Monday.

Salah scored four goals and provided an assist to lead Liverpool to defeat Watford 5-0. Salah’s four goals increased Salah’s Premier League tally to 28 goals, making him the Premier League’s top goal scorer.

It is a tradition in football that a player who scores three or more goals in one game takes the ball after the game, and that is what Salah did after the game, with his teammates signing the ball for him.

“Everyone signed the ball for him. I just kept it simple for him. I just said, ‘well done, superstar’,” Henderson added.

Salah’s performance with Liverpool this season has caused fans to compare him with Luis Suarez, who had an amazing three seasons with Liverpool between 2011 and 2014.

Henderson spoke about the difference between Salah and Suarez, saying, “They are both fantastic players in their own right and you can’t compare them. They are different players. I know they score a lot of goals and both work hard off the ball, but it is very difficult to make that comparison.”

Salah suprassed Suarez’s goals for Liverpool for one season, as Salah scored 36 goals in all competitions, while Suarez scored 31 goals in 2014.
