CAIRO – 16 March 2018: Despite saying goodbye to the Champions League, Wednesday night was very emotional for Pedro Rodriguez.

FC Barcelona kicked the English team Chelsea out of the UEFA Champions League from the 16th round as the ‘blaugrana’ humiliated the ‘blues’ 3-0 through Messi’s left foot brace and Ousmane Dembele’s first remarkable performance with the Spanish team.

Pedro, the ex-FC Barcelona player, was not part of the starting eleven for Chelsea chosen by Antonio Conte and when the Italian coach gave him the chance, to participate as a substitution of Hazard, with eight minutes remaining; the Camp Nou fans gave him a standing ovation.

The ovation was one of those that will go down in the history of the club. His team lost 3-0 and the elimination was already a reality, but Pedro could not but respond to returning with applause for the love received.

"When you've been out for a while, as in my case, you do not expect such a reception," began Pedro who lacked words to describe his feelings: "It's a spectacular reception that takes you to very beautiful moments, important goals you've marked and titles that you have conquered.”

Pedro thanked the Barça fans for their love through their instagram account:
