CAIRO – 13 March 2018: Al-Ahly attacking midfielder Abdallah El-Said put an end to the rumors that linked him with leaving the club after he signed a 2-year contract with the club on Tuesday.

“Al-Ahly director of football Sayed Abdel-Hafiz has accompanied the player to the EFA headquarters to notarize the contract,” Al-Ahly said in a statement on Tuesday.

Said, 32, had been linked with leaving Al-Ahly to play for their local rivals, Zamalek, after the player and Al-Ahly failed to reach an agreement on financial issues.

“I hope to continue my career at Al-Ahly and achieve many titles and make the fans happy,” Said told the club’s official website after signing his contract.

Said’s story with Al-Ahly started in 2011 when he joined the club from his childhood club, Ismaily, and since then he has established himself as a key player on the team.

The attacking midfielder has achieved many titles with the club and he played a great role in Al-Ahly’s campaign to achieve the Egyptian League title this season, scoring 10 goals.
