CAIRO – 7 March 2018: Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino praised Juventus’ Argentinean striker, Gonzalo Higuain, ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Juventus on Wednesday night in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

“Higuain is one of the greatest strikers in the world; for me, one of the best with Harry Kane. We played there at Juventus and he was on the pitch; we know very well his talent, but sometimes it is not easy to stop him,” Pochettino told press on Tuesday.

Higuain scored two goals and missed a penalty in Juventus’ 2-2 draw against Tottenham in the first leg in Italy.

Pochettino added, “Juventus are a great team, so we need to be careful and we need to fight with these big sides who are in another level, but trying to be competitive with different tools."

Pochettino hopes to lead their players to reach the quarter-finals for the second time in the club’s history, as they reached the 2011 Champions League final before being eliminated by Real Madrid.
