Cuper calls 17 international players for March camp

CAIRO – 6 March 2018: Egyptian National Team manager, Hector Cuper, announced on Tuesday the international players who will join the national team for March camp in Switzerland.

The 17 International players are Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, Mohamed el Neny from Arsenal, Ramadan Sobhi from Stoke City, Ahmed Hegazi and Ali Gabr from West Bromwich Albion, Ahmed el Mohamady from Aston Villa, Sam Morsy from Wigan Athletic, Ahmed Hassan known as Koka from Sporting Braga, Mahmoud Hassan known as Trezeguet from Kasımpaşa, Amr Warda from Atromitos, Omar Gaber from Los Angeles, Essam el Hadary from Al Taawoun, Mahmoud Abdel Monem known as Kahraba from Al Ittihad, Mohamed Abdel Shafy from Al Fath, Mahmoud Abdel Razek known as Shikabala from Al Raed, Moamen Zakaria from Saudi Arabian club, Al Ahli, and Hussein el Sahahat from UAE’S Al Ain.

Cuper excluded Saleh Gomaa, Amr Gamal and Ahmed el Sheikh from the camp.

Egypt will play against Portugal on March 23 and Greece on March 27.

Egypt qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia to end 28 years of absence from the competition. The draw put Egypt in Group A alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and the host nation, Russia.
