Al Ahly volleyball team beat Zamalek in derby

CAIRO – 4 March 2018: Al Ahly men's volleyball team beat Zamalek on Saturday in the most anticipated match of the Egyptian Volleyball League with a 3-1 victory; the game was held at the covered hall of the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia.
With this victory Al Ahly are now an step closer to the Egyptian Volleyball League title, which has been absent from Al Ahly’s trophy cabinet for the last three years.

Zamalek won in the first set 25-22, after which Al Ahly dominated the game and won the three other sets (25-21 / 25-15 / 25-18).

Al Ahly players made a strong and exciting performance and took full control of the game; after the victory of Zamalek in the first set the Al Ahly players were determined to beat their longstanding rivals and get closer to the championship title.

Al Ahly currently lead the league table with 35 points, while Zamalek are second with 30 points.
