CAIRO – 22 February 2018: Real Madrid have achieved four consecutive victories in February at the Spanish League and the UEFA Champions League competition.

Real Madrid revived their fans’ hopes to achieve a title this season after poor results in the first half of the season.

Real Madrid started February at the fourth position at the Spanish League after bad results in January that increased the gap with the league leaders, Barcelona.
Real Madrid were also eliminated from the Spanish Cup after losing to Leganes at the quarter finals.

Real Madrid lost two points in their first game in February after a 2-2 away draw to Levante. This draw made the fans doubt the club’s ability to defeat France’s Paris Saint Germain at the UEFA Champions League’s round of 16.

Real Madrid players responded a week later in front of their fans with a stunning 5-2 victory over Real Sociedad; that victory boosted Real Madrid’s fans’ much needed confidence four days before the match against the Parisian giants at the UEFA Champions League.

The master scene in February was the game between Real Madrid and PSG when Real Madrid players managed to turn the game from a 1-0 loss to a 3-1 win; Real Madrid will travel to Paris to play the second leg on March 6 with a two point aggregate.

Real Madrid continued to win two away consecutive games against Real Betis 5-3 and Leganes 3-1 to return to the third place at the League and reduce the gap with Barcelona to 14 points.
