CAIRO – 21 February 2018: Misr el-Makkasa ended their game against Senegal’s Generation Foot on Wednesday night with a 0-0 draw at CAF Champions League Preliminary round second leg.
El-Makkasa’s first participation at the competition ended, as the first leg in Senegal ended with 2-0 victory for the Senegalese team.

This game was el-Makkasa’s first game under their new manager, Talaat Youssef, the successor of Emad Soliman, who resigned after poor results.
The hosts failed to create many chances to score during the whole game and the visitors’ defense stopped all of el-Makkasa’s attempts to score.

El-Makkasa’s most dangerous attempt in the game came after an hour, but the Senegalese goalkeeper saved Mohamed Mosaad’s shot.

Mohamed Mosaad was tackled five minutes later inside the visitors’, box but the referee did not get him a penalty.

Al-Ahly became the only Egyptian team at the competition, and they will play against Gabon’s CF Mounana at round of 32.

The first game is scheduled on March 6 in Cairo, and the second leg will be played 10 days later in Gabon.
