CAIRO – 17 February 2018: Arsene Wenger gave an interview to BeIN Sport in which he spoke about the current situation in English football, one of the topics he discussed was the reign of Manchester City in England this season.

That's why he did not hesitate to praise Pep Guardiola and his team’s playing style. "He has a clear vision of the game and shows positive attitude and philosophy, and he respects even when he does not win, because of the influence he has in this game," he admitted.

Wenger also recalled his interactions with Guardiola during his playing days. "I talked to him a few times and once came to my house when he was a player, because he wanted to play for Arsenal" he revealed.

Wenger has been at Arsenal for more than 20 years and over that time Guardiola has gone from being captain of Barcelona to becoming one of the best managers in Europe and the whole world.

The former midfielder played most of his career at Barcelona, and then went through clubs like Brescia, Roma, Qatar Al-Ahly Doha and the Sinaloa Dorados of the Mexican league.
