CAIRO – 14 February 2018: Chelsea winger Eden Hazard showed his happiness playing alongside their French new signing, Olivier Giroud, who added a different quality to the team.

“I think he's a great target man and he can score a lot of goals. He's a good point of reference. He has a lot of defenders around him, so we are free to play around him, myself, Pedro and Willian,” Hazard told Sky Sports.

Giroud joined Chelsea this January from their local rivals, Arsenal, and established himself as their first choice striker.

Chelsea, the reigning champions, are suffering this season in the league. They are placed fourth, 19 points behind the leaders, Manchester City.

Speaking about Chelsea’s ambition this season, Hazard said, “We need to be in the top four for the Champions League next season, and it would be good if we can take the FA Cup."

Chelsea reached the FA Cup round of 6 and they will play against Hull City on Friday night at home.

Hazard added, “We have a good team; we have good players. We have three months to play until the end of the season and we have to give everything to reach our targets. When you play for Chelsea, the target has to be to win trophies."

Hazard and his teammates are preparing to host Barcelona on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
