CAIRO – 04 February 2018: Al Ahly thrashed Ittihad Alexandria 3-0 in the 22nd round of the Egyptian League to continue their Egyptian League leadership with 54 points.

Walid Azzarou, Abdullah El Said and Junior Ajayi scored the Reds’ three goals in an easy game for Al Ahly.

Al Ahly started the game pressing Ittihad Alexandria’s backline, but without real chances to score the first goal.

The first chance was for Abdullah El Said when he took advantage from an outside box foul and put the ball, but Al-Hany Soliman, Ittihad’s goalkeeper, saved it perfectly.

In the 40th minute, Al Ahly’s defender Ahmed Fathy passed a long ball towards Walid Azzarou, who received it easily and put the ball in Ittihad’s net to make it 1-0.

In the second half, Al Ahly continued their domination of the game albeit without dangerous opportunities to score the second goal.

In the 78th minute, Junior Ajayi provided an amazing assist for Abdullah El Said, who blew a shot to announce the second goal for the Red giants.

Ajayi was on fire, as he scored the third goal for Al Ahly in the 81st minute.
