Zamalek hosts Tanta in the 22nd round of Egyptian League

CAIRO – 4 February 2018: Zamalek SC faces Tanta in the 22nd round of the Egyptian League at Cairo Stadium at 08:00 p.m. (CLT).

Zamalek needs to achieve a victory as their new coach Ehab Galal has achieved only one victory in five matches; the other results amounted to one two draws and two losses.

Zamalek is currently fifth in the standings with 33 points. In total, the white team succeeded to grab nine victories in the league while both losing and drawing six times respectively.

Tanta places 15th with 21 points. Tanta have only achieved four victories in the league, they have been defeated in eight times and nine games ended in a draw.

Zamalek reinforce their squad with many players during the winter transfer window, such as; Hamdy Nagguez from Etoile du Sahel, Mohamed Antarf from Al Assiouty sport, Mahmoud Abdelaziz from Smouha and Nana Buku from Misr Al Makasah.

Hamdy Nagguez is expected to participate in the match against Tanta clash.

Nagguez, 25, is a Tunisian international who has spent his whole career as a professional footballer for Etoile Du Sahel. He joined the club in 2013 and since earned a regular position in the starting line-up.

Nagguez revealed his happiness to complete the deal with Zamalek, saying, “It is a great honor to play for a huge club like Zamalek. I hope to be a good signing for the club.”

Nagguez played a major role in the Tunisian campaign to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and he believes in his national team’s chances at the tournament. He said, “Despite playing in a tough group, I believe we have a chance to reach the second round.”

Tunisia plays in Group G alongside England, Panama and Belgium.
Egypt plays in Group A alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and the host nation, Russia.
