CAIRO – 27 January 2018: Zamalek’s new signing, Hamdi Nagguez, revealed on Saturday that advice from Tunisia national team manager Nabil Maaloul was behind his decision to join Zamalek.

“Maaloul advised me to join Zamalek when he knew about their offer. He told me it is a great chance to improve my physical and tactical abilities,” Nagguez told press on Saturday, according to Kooora.

Nagguez, 25, is an international Tunisian player who played his whole career as a professional footballer for Etoile Du Sahel. He joined the club in 2013 and since then earned a regular position on the team.

Nagguez revealed his happiness to complete the deal with Zamalek, saying, “It is a great honor to play for a huge club in the continent like Zamalek. I hope to be a good signing for the club.”

Nagguez played a major role in the Tunisian campaign to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and he believes in his national team’s chances at the World Cup. He said, “Despite playing in a tough group, I believe we have a chance to reach the second round.”

Tunisia plays in Group G alongside England, Panama and Belgium.
