CAIRO – 27 January 2018: Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon’s contract with Juventus Turin ends in June. Although at the beginning of the season he seemed to have decided to retire this year, the truth is that he is not certain whether he continues with his career or not.

In an interview with Italian newspaper 'La Reppublica', 'Gigi' says that: "I will meet soon with President Agnelli and we will decide, I want the best for the team and I have to see if I can still be useful. It is something that we must decide between us, I do not want to be an impediment for my teammates or the club."

Buffon, if the contract is renewed, would be in his 18th season defending the colors of Juventus and would be 41 years old and still wearing the colors 'bianconeri' as an active player.

The goalkeeper, who has only played in Parma and Juventus throughout his career, has made it clear that if he continues, he will only play in the Turin club and nowhere else.

'Gigi' has played 629 games in Serie A and is likely to surpass his compatriot’s record, Paolo Maldini, who retired with 647 games.
