CAIRO - 19 January 2018: Leicester City manager, Claude Puel revealed on Thursday that the club’s Algerian striker, Islam Slimani could leave the team in January.

“For Slimani, I cannot give all the ties about an individual player, I repeat, that since the beginning, that we have a lot of strikers. We need to make a good balance for the team, to give game time for all the players,” Puel told press on Thursday.

Slimani, 29, has only started one game in the Premier League since September and has only scored five goals with the club in all competitions this season.

Puel added, “We will see if some players can win some game time at other clubs but we have to discuss with these players."

Slimani has been linked with a move to Besiktas to replace their striker Cenk Tosun who joined Everton earlier this month.

Slimani joined the club in 2016 from Sporting Lisbon for a club record of $35 million but he failed to secure a regular place in the club’s starting eleven.
