CAIRO – 14 January 2018: The signing of Alexis Sanchez for Manchester City has stalled in the last hours.

According to Manchester City sources, the club will probably not sign the Chilean player in this winter transfer market, even if it means Sanchez will move to United, as the club has indicated their interest for the player.

Manchester United, coached by Jose Mourinho, is now the great rival to take over the services of Sanchez.

Although the player has made his desire clear to play under City coach Pep Guardiola, Manchester City does not want to succumb to all of Arsenal's demands of the deal.

The Gunners’ want to sell Sanchez this January to make financial gains after their loss, but City is not willing to pay the £35 million ($48 million).

Another aspect that played a role in the negotiations is the conditions of Sanchez’s agent, which City believes are very excessive.

It is speculated that the agent would request £5 million of commissions if the deal takes place.
