Copa del Rey quarter final draw revealed

CAIRO – 12 January 2018:Copa del Rey (The Spanish cup) quarter-final draw washeld on Friday, 12 January, 2018, at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Soccer City in Las Rozas, Spain.

The Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, avoided an early clash and got an easy draw.

Real Madrid will face Leganes while Barcelona will face their district rival, Espanyol.

FC Barcelona are the cup titleholders and have a record 29 titles, while Real Madrid are hoping to win their 20thcup this year; they last won Copa del Rey in 2014.

The quarter-finals’first leg will be played on January 16and17; the second leg will be played onJanuary 23 and 24.

The semifinals of the competition are scheduled for January 31 (first leg) and February 7 (second leg), while the final will be held on April 21.
