CAIRO - 11 January 2018: Juventus’ German midfielder Sami Khedira revealed on Wednesday that if Juventus proposes to renew his contract, “surely” he will accept, confirming that he has no intention of going to the United States in the near future.
Khedira made these announcements during an interview with a private Italian channel, in which he has talked about his future and has acknowledged feeling "very happy" at Juventus, where he arrived two and a half years ago.
"I'm very well, I love the city, I love life in Turin and the fans, I get their affection; if they asked me to renew the contract, I would say yes, surely," he stated.
In addition, he cleared any doubts about his possible move to the United States, affirming that in spite of being 30 years old, he prefers to continue playing in the European leagues at least for the moment.

"I still want to play for several years in the most important European championships, I am now in Italy, for me this is one of the four best leagues in the world, I do not know why people say I want to go to the MLS," he said.
The German footballer also referred to the difficulties Juventus are facing this year to reach first place in the Serie A table. At the moment Juventus is second, one point away from the leader, Napoli, who have 51 points.
Juventus, who have been the league title holders for six years, must fight to the end if they want to win because "in this season, there are many teams that are at the same level: from Napoli, to Roma, Inter or Lazio" Khedira recounted.
