Ministry of Interior holds meeting with EFA, club officials

CAIRO – 10 January 2018: Several security officials from the Directory of Cairo’s Security held a meeting on Wednesday with officials of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and several club officials to coordinate the return of the spectators to the stadiums in the upcoming period.

The Exuctive Director of EFA, Tharwat Sweilam, will be the representative of EFA. The clubs which will attend the meeting included Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Talaea El-Gaish, Wadi Degla and other teams, according to Super Kora.

The meeting will discuss the best ways to bring spectators back to stadiums without repeating any rioting incidents.

President of the Egyptian Football Association Hany Abu Reida said earlier on a raido program, “we agreed on the date of the return of spectators at the last meeting of the board, and it was approved that the fans will start attending matches in the Egyptian Cup,” Goal website reported.
