CAIRO – 6 January 2018: Al-Ahly’s medical staff revealed on Saturday that Hossam Ashour and Saad Samir are ready for the Cairo Derby against Zamalek on Monday after they recovered and participated in the training session with the whole squad.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly will miss Mohamed Naguib against Zamalek and Al-Masry in the Egypt Super Cup in UAE on Friday, January 12, as he is still suffering from a muscle injury.

Al-Ahly manager Hossam el-Badry added the club’s goalkeeper, Sherif Ekramy, to the derby squad after he was excluded in the last few weeks due to injury.

El-Badry also decided to delay the negotiations with the players whose contracts will end this year until after the games against Zamalek and Al-Masry.

Al-Ahly faces Zamalek on Monday in the Egyptian League at Cairo International Stadium. Al-Ahly enters the game in the second position with 36 points. They are one point behind the leaders, Ismaily.
