CAIRO – 6 January 2018: Sevilla will host their local rivals, Real Betis, on Saturday night at Sevilla stadium, Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Both teams hope to start the year with a victory in the derby.

Sevilla have had a better run in the league this season than Betis. They amassed 29 points in fifth place while Real Betis accumulated 21 points in the 14th place.

Sevilla’s winger, Jesus Navas, will experience playing at the derby again in front of their enthusiastic fans as he returned to his team last summer after playing for four years in England for Manchester City.

Sevilla’s new manager, Vincenzo Montella, hopes to win Sevilla fans’ hearts by winning the derby in his first game being in charge of the team in the league.

“I'm excited and determined to play it, experience the emotion and to win," Montella said, according to Sevilla’s official website on Friday.

Montella was appointed club manager on December 28 to succeed the sacked manager, Eduardo Berizzo.
