Barcelona faces Celta without Messi, Suarez and Iniesta

CAIRO – 4 January 2018: Barcelona faces Celta Vigo on Thursday night in round 16 of the Spanish Cup at Balaídos arena in Vigo. Barcelona enters the game without most of its top players.

Ousmane Dembele received medical discharge and was included in the Barcelona squad for the game.

Dembele has missed Barcelona games since September 16 when he was injured in the game against Getafe in the Spanish League.

Barcelona manager, Ernesto Valverde excluded Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, Arda Turan, Rafinha Alcantara and Gerard Deulofeu from the team squad.

Valverde’s chosen squad for the game consists of Marc Andre Ter Stergen, Jasper Cillessen, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto, Javier Mascherano, Thomas Vermaelen, Jordi Alba, Lucas Digne, Sergio Busquets, Ousmane Dembele, Andre Gomes, Alex Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Jose Paulo known as Paulinho, Denis Suarez, Carles Alena and Jose Arnaiz.

Barcelona players will reunite with Celta manager, Juan Carlos Unzué who was Barcelona’s assistant manager in the last three years.
