CAIRO – 3 January 2018: Al-Ahly thrashed Al-Nasr 4-0 in the postponed game from the eighth round of the Egyptian Premier League at Petro Sport Stadium.

Al-Ahly secured the three points after four players each scored a goal, guaranteeing the team to be in second place with 36 points, behind Ismaily – the leaders with 37 points – before the derby against Zamalek SC on January 8.

The 39-time Egyptian League winner, Al-Ahly had met Al-Nasr two times in the Premier League in the 2014/2015 season. The two games ended with Al-Ahly winning, 2-1 and 3-0, respectively.

Al-Ahly defender Ayman Ashraf took the lead after he used Al-Nasr’s goalkeeper to put a header in the net. Walid Soliman, Al-Ahly midfielder, doubled the score from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.

Al-Nasr had many chances to score, but Al Ahly’s defense was ready to stop all of them. Walid Azzarou also scored a penalty shot, his 13th goal with Al-Ahly, to make the score 3-0.

Before the final whistle, Islam Mohareb continued his amazing performances in recent matches by scoring a stunning goal to make it 4-0.
