Al-Ahly faces Al-Nasr with clean victory record

CAIRO – 2 January 2018: Al-Ahly faces Al-Nasr at the eighth round of the Egyptian Premier League at 7 p.m. in Petro Sport Stadium.

The champion of the last edition of the tournament, Al-Ahly, is now in the second place with 33 points after the team played 14 matches, scoring 29 goals and conceding only 10. Meanwhile, Al-Nasr occupies the 16th place of the standings table of the Egyptian Premier League with 13 points after playing 16 matches; the team lost six matches, tied in seven matches and won only two matches. The last victory for Al-Nasr was against Misr Al-Maqassa in the 13th round of the Egyptian League, where Al-Nasr surprisingly won 4-1.

The 39 times Egyptian League winner, Al-Ahly had met Al- Nasr two times in the Premier League in the 2014/2015 season; the two games ended with Al-Ahly winning, 2-1 and 3-0, respectively.
