CAIRO - 27 December 2017: Saudi football club Al Ittihad refused to end Egyptian star Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba’s loan from Zamalek during the next winter transfer period.

The Saudi newspaper “Al Hayat” said that the inability of Al Ittihad to sign new contracts was because of the penalty applied by the International Football Federation (FIFA). Their failure to pay financial dues to several coaches and former players made the club’s board withhold kahraba’s contract, despite the fact that Kahraba has received a bid to join a German club in January.

The newspaper added, "Although Kahraba is keen to experience a professional career in Europe, Ittihad’s actions may push him to postpone the idea, especially as his loan contract from Zamalek to Al Itiihad ends at the end of the current season.”

Mahmoud "Kahraba" played 13 games in the Saudi Premier League competition this season with Al Ittihad, scoring three goals. He joined Al Ittihad from Zamalek on a loan contract on June 30, 2016, according to Tranfer Markt.
