CAIRO – 21 December 2017: Brazilian star Neymar has revealed his expectations for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Russia next summer. He also praised the outstanding level of English Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah.

“I think the favorites are always the same, including Brazil, Germany, France, Spain, and Argentina,” the Paris Saint-Germain star said in an interview with one of his sponsors, Red Bull Energy.

Neymar predicted that Belgium would be the black horse in the tournament, which has won 9 games in 10 qualifying matches and has distinguished players in its ranks, such as Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens.

“Belgium has an excellent team that can be the surprise of the World Cup, they have a group of distinguished stars,” said Neymar.

He also praised the Egyptian star Mohammed Salah, who is the top scorer of the English Premier League with 14 goals, saying, “Salah offers very good levels, he is a great player, I think it will be the surprise of the World Cup.”
