CAIRO – 21 December 2017: The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced the final classification of the teams in 2017 on Thursday, with Germany coming first and winning the title for the Team of the Year.

In 2017, Germany won their six qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup and won four of five Confederation Cup matches.

This year, the German national team ended without a defeat, winning the title for the Team of the Year against Argentina and Belgium, who won the title in 2016 and 2015 respectively.

In addition, the top 10 did not see any changes in the last rankings of 2017, with Brazil remaining second and Portugal third.

Senegal remained top of the African continent and came in 23rd place in the world, followed by Tunisia in 27th place and Egypt 31st, while Congo dropped three places to the 39th position.
